Apply Tags to Documents

Tags organize Documents and Jots and improve findability in Folio Home.

Tags in Folio are simple. There are no “org-wide” vs. “personal” Tags. Every Tag works the same way for everyone.

Apply a Tag

To apply a Tag to a Document or Jot:

  1. Type in the name of the Tag you want to apply.
  2. If the Tag does not exist yet, hit Enter or click the + icon to create the new Tag and link it to your Document or Jot.
  3. If the Tag already exists, choose it from the suggestions and it will be linked to your Document or Jot.

You can apply multiple Tags to a single Document or Jot.

Use Tags to find things

Tags become powerful in Folio Home. You can:

  • View Tags directly in Folio Home.
  • Search for a Tag in the Folio Home search bar.
  • Filter by one or more Tags in the Folio Home advanced filters to surface every Document and Jot with those Tags.

Remove a Tag

Removing a Tag from a Document or Jot is easy: just click the × next to the Tag chip.
